The McDonald's restaurant at Southend Airport's retail park is temporarily shut for more than a month while it "undergoes a refurbishment".
The fast food giant's branch at the Airport Retail Park, in Rochford Road, has closed its doors.
It is understood the restaurant will be shut while while a major refurbishment is carried out.

McDonald's has now confirmed the restaurant is closed and is expected to be re-opening on Thursday, May 23.
The restaurant had two planning applications given the green light by Southend Council in December 2022 for an extension and revamp of the site.
These plans included an “extension to the side, south facing, with replacement drive thru booths, glazing and aluminium cladding”.
It would see new outdoor furniture and bins installed, drive-thru booths replaced and new signage, as well as a host of other improvements.
While the branch is shut, diners won't have far to travel for their Big Mac fix as it is just an eleven minute drive away to the nearest McDonald's restaurants, in either Eastern Avenue, Southchurch, or Southend High Street.
