The Echo today launches its Caring at Christmas campaign, dedicated to celebrating the unsung heroes among us who operate so selflessly within our communities.
While so many people look forward to the big day rejoicing with relatives, there are many people less fortunate. Yet, thankfully, there are plenty of residents across south Essex who are spending their precious time trying to make a difference.
Doing their bit for poorly children, homeless people, children from troubled homes.
Whether they are opening up their business to offer a hot meal on Christmas Day, or selflessly collecting items to donate to those on the streets or even raising money for charity through a range of festive fun they all have one thing in common...they want to bring some genuine joy to those who need it most.
So, in the run-up to Christmas the Echo will bring you the heartwarming stories of genuine people, out there aiming to improve lives and the communities they live in.
- Do you know someone who is making a difference this Christmas? Share their story with our reporter Kirsty Hough, email kirsty.hough@nqe.com or call 01268 469409.
