A MAN has denied being involved in drug dealing after police allegedly found him in the company of man who had drugs hidden up his backside.

Abdi Salah, 23, of St Peter’s Road, Leicester, denied being concerned in the supply of heroin in Southend on February 8.

He appeared at Basildon Crown Court alone and his co-defendant, Ron Whyte, 24, of the Longfield Estate, in Bermondsey, will appear at a later date.

He has been charged with possession of crack cocaine in Southend on February 8 but has yet to make an initial appearance at the magistrates’ court.

Both are set to appear at Basildon Crown Court next year on April 3.
