Man fined over rubbish
A MAN was fined £317 for failing to clear rubbish from the front of his property.
Robert Crow, 67, of Devereux Road, Southend, was ordered to clear the rubbish by Southend Council on August 30 but it was still there one month later.
Crow admitted failing to comply with the notice but maintained that the items were not rubbish.
Southend Magistrates’ Court and was handed a £100 fine, with £187 costs and a £30 victim surcharge.
