Police use Taser on man seen waving knife around at caravan park
POLICE used a Taser on a man seen waving a knife around at a caravan park.
The incident happened at Thorney Bay Caravan Park, in Thorney Bay Road, Canvey, at 5.15pm on Thursday.
An Essex Police spokesman said: “Officers attempted to engage with the 58-year-old man, from Canvey, before using a Taser to detain him.
“The man was arrested on suspicion of possession of knife in a public place and then taken to hospital.”
The man was later released without charge.
