A 64-YEAR-OLD man was threatened with a knife before being knocked unconcious and had his wallet stolen.
The incident happened in Southchurch Road, in Southend, at around 1am today.
A police spokesman said: "A 64-year-old man from Southend was walking home with a friend before they went their separate ways.
"Shortly afterwards the victim was approached near to the Ambleside Drive junction by two men who threatened him with a knife.
"The victim was then punched, knocked unconscious and had his wallet stolen."
