ARMED police swarmed around a Pitsea street and stormed inside two homes.

A heavy police presence remains in Pevensey Close today following the raids which happened at about 8am yesterday. 

Five police cars and a police van are currently parked in the road and officers are still inside one address.

An Essex Police spokesman said that no arrests were made in the two raids, however three people were arrested during another warrant in the town yesterday.

He said: "Police have made three arrests after executing three separate warrants in Basildon

"Officers attended a property in Great Ranton, Pitsea shortly after 6am today, Thursday, May 18. 

"A man, woman and boy were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs and remain in custody at Basildon police station. 

"Two properties in Pevensey Way, Pitsea were also attended but no arrests were made. 

"Enquiries are ongoing."
