Essex Police have arrest two more people in connection with a serious crash in the Manorway, Corringham last month.

Two motorbikes crashed into each other at around 9.15pm on Wednesday, June 14 at an unofficial bike meet.

One of the riders, Bethany Bright, believed to be from Canvey, suffered serious injuries and had to have part of her leg amputated. 

A 23 year-old man from Rainham was arrested on Saturday, July 15 on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving. He has since been released under investigation. 

An 18 year-old man from Rainham was arrested on Thursday, July 13 on suspicion of assisting an offender. He has since been released under investigation. 

It takes the total number of people arrested in connection with the crash to seven. 

Detective Inspector Scott Egerton said: “We continue to make good progress with this investigation but still want anyone with information about what happened, who we’ve not spoken to yet, to come forward. 

“A woman suffered a serious and life changing injury and it is important we establish exactly what happened. 

“I urge anyway with any information about the crash to contact us.” 

A fundraising page was set up by Bethany's friends to help support her and her family with the life-changing aftermath of the crash.
