THE Appleton School showcased their latest musical extravaganza, Singing in the Rain to an appreciative audience.

Students performed over three nights, telling the story of a Hollywood film studio as it adapts its latest silent film into a “talkie”.

Students from Years 7 to 13 took part in the production with the lead roles played by Calum Yorke-Wade, George Williams and Holly Mole.

Emily Turvey, head of performing arts, said “It never ceases to amaze me the talent we have in the Appleton School. It is such a challenge learning the singing and dancing routines in an energetic musical like Singing in the Rain and making it look effortless.”

Headteacher, Karen Kerridge, added: “The success of the school production is testament to the dedication of the students and staff of the Appleton School. Each year the school production allows our students to showcase their extraordinary talents.”
