A NEW heritage plaque for the Dutch Cottage in Crown Hill, Rayleigh, has been unveiled.

The new plaque, which was funded by Rayleigh Town Council, has been installed on a plinth in the front garden to enable the public to read about the history of the building.

Dutch Cottage is a Grade 2 listed building which dates back to the mid-18th century.

Town council chairman, councillor Carol Pavelin said: “We are very proud of our heritage in Rayleigh and now have 31 heritage plaques around the town”
