An Essex brand that is known across the world is opening a pop up shop at Southend Airport throughout the Christmas period.

Wilkins and Sons of Tiptree are opening a pop up shop at the airport which will offer a range of its famous jam, as well as preserves, gins and home fragrances for holiday makers this festive season.

The company, which has been producing since 1885 will have a store at the airport for the first time in its history.

Speaking about the new store, Scott Goodfellow, sales and marketing director at Wilkin and Sons, said: “We are delighted to be opening a Pop Up Shop at Southend Airport and hope that passengers will enjoy taking our local products on their travels.”

The new store will be found in the departure lounge of the airport.

Wilkins and Sons has supplied for the royal family since the reign of George V in 1911.

The new gin collection from the world famous jam suppliers is to be a big draw for their newest store.

Four different flavoured gins will be offered at the pop up including; English Raspberry, English Damson, English Strawberry and English Rhubarb.

The company now sells to more than 60 countries worldwide.
