Police officers rushed to the scene of a reported stabbing on a Southend estate earlier this evening.

Unconfirmed reports from multiple sources suggest there was a disturbance on the Kursaal estate in Woodgrange Drive at about 730pm.

Witnesses reported that a man was stabbed in the arm.

Several police units were on scene as well as ambulance units.

Emergency services have been contacted for comment.
