Great Wakering Rovers manager Iain O’Connell has urged his team not to rest on their laurels as they look to place one hand on the Essex Senior League trophy.

Five points clear with four games remaining, Wakering are red hot favourites to win the division.

And O’Connell is looking for three wins in the final four matches, beginning against Clapton.

“We need three wins out of four I think,” he said. “When you look at sides that go down they don’t normally go straight back up and I am pleased at what the boys have done so far.

“Basildon and Redbridge are doing well too and there are loads of scenarios that could play out.

“Clapton beat us at their place but we have come on since then.”

Wakering have a fully fit squad to choose from.
