Great Wakering Rovers manager Iain O’Connell has urged his team not to rest on their laurels as they look to place one hand on the Essex Senior League trophy.

Five points clear with four games remaining, Wakering are red hot favourites to win the division.

And O’Connell is looking for three wins in the final four matches, beginning against Clapton.

“We need three wins out of four I think,” he said. “When you look at sides that go down they don’t normally go straight back up and I am pleased at what the boys have done so far.

Basildon and Redbridge are doing well too and there are loads of scenarios that could play out.

“Clapton beat us at their place but we have come on since then.”

Wakering have a fully fit squad to choose from.

Basildon United welcome Woodford Town looking to strengthen their promotion claim come the final three games of term.

A last-gasp win at Southend Manor was the Bees’ fourth triumph in succession and they now sit second on goal difference ahead of Redbridge - who they play in their final game of the season.

Matt Brinklow remains sidelined for Basildon.

Hullbridge Sports will be confident of getting the point they need to ensure survival when they play Hackney Wick tomorrow.

Already relegated Hackney Wick have little to play for while victory for Darren Manning’s team could see them climb above Southend Manor.

Sports will be without Perry Dunn although Mike Salako, Jimmy Cox, Matt Dicks and Matt Tapley return.

Southend Manor host Sawbridgeworth Town in a tricky looking clash.

Manor, under-performers by their own admission this term, will want to end the season well following a heartbreaking late defeat to Basildon on Wednesday.

Boss Adam Peek could be without several key players.
