THE PREVIEW: Bowers & Pitsea know they cannot afford a slip up as their busy end to the season continues with a trip to Soham Town Rangers.

Bowers were beaten 2-1 by Heybridge Swifts on Thursday but remain in the driving seat to secure runners-up spot in the league.

With three matches remaining, Bowers will not want to give Potters Bar Town a sniff heading into the last seven days of the campaign.

Bowers won the reverse fixture in emphatic fashion, triumphing 4-0.

Soham are enjoying a good end to the season with just three defeats from their last 11 matches.

However a 3-2 home defeat against lowly Ware on Tuesday means they will want to end the season well in front of their fans.

THE INSIGHT: “We have it in our hands which is a great position to be in,” said manager Rob Small.

“That said, we know how difficult this is going to be. We were beaten at Soham last year and they have really impressed me with their desire to win games at the back end of the season.

“We know that will be no different tomorrow. They are giving it a good go and that is testament to their management team. It is great they are fighting so hard regardless of their circumstances.

“To play just after the Heybridge game means we have to do our best. I hope it’s enough and we may rotate. But we are 40 weeks into the season and we have to go for it.”

THE TEAM NEWS: Lewis Manor is suspended.
