A man has been seriously hurt at Southend Central Train Station.
Officers are currently on the scene at the station dealing with the matter.
It has been reported that the station is closed to passengers.
A spokesman from British Transport Police said: "Officers were called to reports of a man being seriously wounded at Southend Central station at 5.25am this morning.
"Officers and the ambulance service attended the scene. The victim was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
"A man has been detained as part of our investigation into the incident.
