Armed police respond to reports man chased by gang with knives and gun
Armed police rushed to a residential street after reports a man was chased by an armed gang.
A police spokesman said: "We were called at around 8pm on Thursday, April 19 to with reports a man had been chased by a group of men in the Thorrington Cross area of Basildon.
"It was reported the men were armed with a knife and a firearm.
"Officers attended the area and carried out a search but could not locate the group.
"If you have any information please call us on 101 quoting incident 1159 of 19/04 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
