Police are still hunting suspects who stabbed a man to death in Southend.
Officers were called to the scene in Farringdon Service Road, close to The Forum, after witnesses reported a disturbance at around 9pm last night.
The man died shortly after paramedics arrived at the scene, with eyewitnesses describing up to four men being involved in the incident.
In response to the incident, there have been calls for a curfew to be introduced, and also for tougher jail terms in order to stop knife crime in the town.
A march took place through the high street earlier today as a protest against knives.
Essex Police is asking witnesses or anyone with CCTV or dash cam footage to contact Rayleigh Major Investigations Team on 101 quoting incident 1258 of 14/05 or email scdappeals@essex.pnn.police.uk.
