A GIRL fled in fear from two men who tried to force her into a car, it is claimed.
The young girl was walking alone in Eastern Esplanade, Canvey near to Kismet Park in Gainsborough Avenue.
She was walking through the area late on Monday and into Tuesday morning when two men approached her in a car.
It is understood they spoke to the girl and attempted to force her into the car.
She was able to get away unharmed but shaken.
In an appeal on social media, the girl said: “Thankfully I was two roads away from home, so I ran away before they had a chance to get out the car.
“I don’t know the car model and was too scared to look back at the registration, I honestly have never been so scared in my life.”
The girl said that she was not injured in any way, however, she was very shaken up following the incident.
In the appeal, she added: “I’m just going to have to pay for taxis home.
“It’s stupid, I shouldn’t have to feel scared to walk home.”
Essex Police was approached for comment but was unable to respond before the newspaper went to press.
