A WOMAN was threatened with a knife during a robbery in her home. 

Essex Police have launched an appeal for witnesses following the robbery in Basildon. 

Police were called just after 2.15am this morning to reports that two men had forced their way into an address in Chester Way and threatened the occupant, a woman in her 30s, with a knife. 

The two men are described by the victim as being white, and standing at around 6ft 2 inches.

Both wore black tracksuits and one wore a balaclava over his face.

After searching the property, the two men left the address.

Police enquiries are ongoing, but officers would like to speak to anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity in the area at this time, or who may have CCTV or dash cam footage available to view.
