A four-year-old girl has sent a note of thanks to the ambulance service after they helped her with a head injury.

The note was shared by the East of England Ambulance Service on their Twitter page to let young Eliza, from Southend, know they had received the note.

It reads: "To the amazing paramedics who helped me get better. Thank you. I love telling all my friends that I got to go in an ambulance and play "eye spy" [sic].

"Thank you also for looking after my daddy - he was a bit scared."

The ambulance crew thanked Eliza for her note and said: "I spy with my little eye a thank you letter from a wonderful person beginning with E.

"A huge thank you to four-year-old Eliza for her letter which she sent to our Southend Station after our crew attended to her for a bump to the head."
