Hundreds of revellers and music fans took advantage of the hot weather to enjoy the final days of the biggest free folk festival in the country this weekend.

With hundreds of performances over the course of the four days, this year’s Leigh Folk Festival was as successful and as popular as ever as the bars and pubs hosting the event were packed with appreciative listeners.

The stunning programme was positively brimming over with quality acts to see across the four days it was on and the atmosphere did not disappoint.

The festival concluded in Old Town, Leigh, as usual, with an impressive and colourful procession of different performers entertaining the crowds under beaming sunshine.

The festival attracted tens of thousands of visitors and offered indoor and outdoor stages, dance arenas, diverse music, poetry, storytelling, food stalls and more.
