Primary school children had the chance to learn from the best as a British champion rhythmic gymnast led masterclasses at their summer fete.

16-year-old elite senior rhythmic gymnast Hannah Martin attended the Our Lady of Ransom (ORLA) in Rayleigh, summer fete on Saturday July 11, performing twice and holding two masterclasses for the children.

Chairperson of the OLOR Parent's Association, Tania Bonici, said: "It was an absolute privilege to have had Hannah Martin attend OLOR’s “Great Summer Fete” today! Her performances were quite frankly jaw droppingly superhuman and we felt beyond lucky to have been able to witness her in action.

"The masterclasses Hannah took for our children were also amazing and hopefully they helped to inspire the next generation of rhythmic gymnasts. We would like to take this opportunity to thank Hannah, once again, for agreeing to attend our event, as we know just how busy she is, especially as she is now preparing to represent GB at the Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships in Sofia, Bulgaria later on this year.

"The whole of the OLOR community would like to wish her continued success for the future!”

As well as the gymnastic activities, families at the fete were treated to a day of inflatables, food stalls, and fun games throughout the day to raise money for the school.
