THE end of the school year was celebrated in style as pupils enjoyed a special surprise at Castle View School, Canvey.
After a long year of hard work and studying, children were rewarded with a day of fun to celebrate the end of term.
Staff organised the day as a surprise for pupils.
It was a well deserved chance for pupils to relax before the start of the summer holidays as they enjoyed a day of relaxed activities alongside their teachers - and even a couple of Stormtroopers.
There were a host of inflatables on hand, including a fun obstacle course, bouncy castles, a giant inflatable darts board, a climbing wall and a rodeo bull. The school even set up a roller skating track on the playground and a huge group dance on the field.
Alan Mechem, associate leader at Castle View School, said: “To celebrate our first year of the college system being implemented here at Castle View we held our first surprise ‘wow day’ for our students and staff, funded in collaboration with charity Make Happen.
“We’re proud to offer something fun, creative and different to other schools. Our students have had a fantastic year and there’s no better way to send them off for summer than providing a day full of inflatables, assault courses, barbecues and even Stormtroopers to test their resilience to the unexpected.”
