One of the most sought after Blues acts on the circuit will play the New Crawdaddy Blues Club, ahead of his extensive European dates later in the year.

Among the finest acts to have graced the NewCrawdaddy stage, Aynsley Lister is being welcomed back for his sixth visit to the club.

When explosive, natural ability collides with fiery, emotionally-charged compositions, the result is Aynsley Lister; an incredible guitarist whose brand of blues-based rock delivers contemporary song writing, fuelled with the kind of heart and soul that is missing from so much modern music.

With over 100,000 albums sold, lashings of critical acclaim and years of high-profile touring, Aynsley’s resume speaks for itself and firmly secures his position as a leading light in the resurgence of British blues-infused music.

In 2007, he was the only British artist to be named in Classic Rock magazine’s Top 10 Contemporary Blues Artists alongside John Mayer, Derek Trucks and Joe Bonamassa.

In 2008 he signed to Manhaton Records with the resulting album Equilibrium receiving fantastic reviews and storming into Classic Rock’s Top 50 Albums of 2009. The subsequent tour saw Aynsley playing to sold out shows to over 16,000 people whilst opening for the legendary Lynyrd Skynyrd.

He went on to release the storming Tower Sessions album which was consequently voted Best Live Album in the 2011 Blues Matters Writers Poll.

He has been nominated twice in the 2016 British Blues Awards, both in the Vocalist of the Year and the Guitarist of the Year categories.

Completing the line up are some of the best musicians on the circuit in Steve Amadeo, on bass, Boneto Dryden, drums and Andy Price on keys.

Crawdaddy Promoter, Paul Dean, said: "Aynsley is one of the nicest guys in the business and this is likely to be a contender for the gig of the season."

The gig is tomorrow, Friday July 20 at the New Crawdaddy Blues Club, Holiday Inn, Festival leisure Basildon. Doors open 8pm. Admission £12 on the door.
