Have a look inside the 41 new houses being built in Dry Street, Basildon.

The new development, now known as Westley Green, comprises 725 houses.

Developers Redrow has launched 41 new homes at the site, which used to be home to Longwood Equestrian Centre.

The three and four bedroom properties are part of Redrow’s award-winning Heritage Collection.

Almost 100 houses on the development have already been sold.

Inspired by the bygone arts and crafts era, the traditional 1920s influenced exteriors open into bright modern interiors, created through increased ceiling heights and large windows.

Kerry McCoubrey, sales director at Redrow Eastern, said: “Westley Green has undeniable appeal to buyers.

"It is ideally located between two stations providing quick links to London, yet is surrounded by open countryside.

"The new community is really taking shape too, with 10 per cent of our homes already occupied.

“The range of homes available and the opportunity to purchase using the Government backed help to buy scheme means our homes are attracting first time buyers and growing families, creating a vibrant and inclusive new community.”

The development is close to Great Berry Primary School and Holy Family Roman Catholic School, plus the leisure facilities, shops and restaurants of Basildon.

Redrow is contributing towards new public open space, a primary school and sports facilities.

Redrow’s Mastermove scheme is available at Westley Green too, meaning those that have a property to sell can use the scheme and remove some of the hassle of selling as Redrow arranges valuations, appoints an estate agent and handles the paperwork.

Homes at Westley Green start at £404,995.

The houses are available from Saturday.
