THE Rotary Club of Colchester handed a £36,000 cheque to good causes.
The club had organised the Marks Hall Country and Garden Show.
Marks Hall staff, Essex and Herts Air Ambulance, fellow Colchester Rotary Club members, and the Colchester Sea Scouts all helped out during the event.
Show director Nigel Dyson and Colchester Rotary Club team leader David Burrage were delighted with the outcome. David said: “This was a real team effort.
“We had tremendous hands-on support from many members of the Rotary club, and invaluable input from Essex and Herts Air Ambulance and Marks Hall. Hard work, a lot of fun and a worthwhile result.”
The money will be split between the organisations.
