A SAILING race event was held to raise cash for charity.
The Hullbridge Regatta raised much-needed funds for Fair Havens Hospice and the RNLI.
It took place at the Up River Yacht Club, in Pooles Lane, Hullbridge.
Residents joined to watch all the thrills and spills of the racing event.
There was plenty to see and do including were stalls, a 3D printing demonstration and live music.
Members at Up River Yacht Club volunteered to help and make it a special day for people to attend.
There were record numbers of visitors with people coming from Southend, Hockley, Rayleigh and Benfleet.
It was held on September 10 for seafarersto enjoy.
