AN appeal has been launched to find a man who went missing in Hockley.

Marc Jones, 44, of Marlow, disappeared whilst visiting family in Hockley on Saturday, December 23.

At 8.45am on Saturday, Marc walked alone towards Guide Woods from Woodside Road at the bottom of Bullwood Approach.

A spokesman for Thames Valley Police said: “He has not been seen since. This is completely out of character for Marc.

“Essex Police did an aerial search that first day. Nothing was found in Hockley woods from that search.

“It has now been passed on to Thames Valley Police who are supporting with searches in Marc’s home town of Marlow.”

Marc has short dark blonde hair and he is 5ft11. He was last seen wearing a black Canada Goose jacket with a noticeably furry hood.

He was wearing brown trousers and a rust coloured knitted top and black trainers.

Marc has a cross tattoo on his wrist.

The spokesman added: “The family are very keen to find out if anyone has any CCTV on exits from Hockley Woods from 8.45am on 23/12 or later that morning/ afternoon to pin-point Marc’s next steps.

“However both Marlow and Hockley are being actively searched at this time.

“The public are urged to continue to pass all information to the police on 101 for Thames Valley Police with the Missing Person Reference Number: 43230576683.”
