Train services across south Essex are experiencing severe disruption this morning due to storm Henk causing chaos on both c2c and Greater Anglia lines.

c2c update

c2c services remain delayed and/or cancelled this morning due to instances of trees blocking the lines.

Due to a tree blocking the railway between Chafford Hundred and Ockendon, trains are running a reduced speed, causing train services across the entire network to be delayed by up to ten minutes or run non-stop between Upminster and Pitsea.

The 7.31am services from Grays to Fenchurch Street due at 8.12am is cancelled due to a tree blocking the line.

Both the 6.31am service from Grays to Fenchurch Street and the 6.35am service from Leigh to Fenchurch Street are experiencing major delays due to fallen trees.

Greater Anglia update

Severe delays are also across the south Essex Greater Anglia network this morning due to fallen trees affecting overhead wires.

The 7.32am Southend Victoria to London Liverpool Street service is cancelled due to a fallen tree damaging overhead wires.

Train formations have been majorly reduced from Southend Victoria this morning.

The 7am service from Southend Victoria to London Liverpool Street and 7.57am London Liverpool Street to Southend Victoria services will be running with five coaches.

Disruption is set to improve across the morning as lines are cleared.
