A TEENAGER has been left with a serious head injury after a hit and run crash.
The teenager had been at the Basildon Sporting Village and was walking home with a pal when he was struck by a car near Crompton Close and its junction with Cranes Farm Road.
The car failed to stop and drove off at speed.
The boy managed to walk home but was later taken to hospital with a serious head injury.
The crash happened between 8pm and 9pm on Thursday August 2.
