TWO men will appear in court this morning after a man was found dead a stone’s throw away from the V Festival.

Police were called to a house in London Road, Chelmsford - just a few metres from the annual festival’s venue in Hylands Park - shortly after midnight on Saturday.

They discovered the body of 39-year-old Anton Jardin from Rayleigh in the back garden.

Officers believe the house was the base for a private party.

Two men have been charged with the murder of Anton Jardin.

Sam Martin, 25, of Fairfax Drive, Westcliff, and Clint Spearpoint, 34, of Kelso Close, Rayleigh, have been charged by detectives and remanded in custody to appear before Magistrates in Chelmsford today.

A 25-year-old woman from Hockley arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice in connection with this case has been bailed until September 21.

Ten men were arrested by police on suspicion of murder.
