THE popular Kirste 5 Memorial Race takes place on Sunday, August 10 – and there is still time to enter.

The race was created in memory of former Benfleet RC member Kirste Snellgrove who raised more than £50,000 for breast cancer before dying of the disease in 2012.

It is now in its third year and is a popular race that starts and finishes at Grove Wood Primary School in Rayleigh.

All profits from this race will be donated equally between Macmillan Cancer Support and Bosom Pals Southend Breast Cancer Unit (KCA).

The race starts at 10am. To enter online, visit www.benfleetrunningclub.co.uk/kirste-5 .
