l RUNDOWN: Canvey Island beat Waltham Abbey in the Essex Senior Cup on Tuesday but can be sure of a step up in competition against Enfield Town.
The Gulls have found games hard to come by in recent weeks, and have played just once in the league since the start of the month as they have dropped to 19th in the standings.
After a sluggish start, Enfield are a team very much in form, with just one defeat in their last nine league clashes.
Canvey won this fixture 2-0 last season.
l MANAGER’S VIEW: Gulls manager Danny Heale said: “We had a clean sheet against Waltham Abbey which was good as we were struggling with defensive numbers. We weren’t at the races first half but we had some new faces and were short of match fitness.
“We played Enfield in the first game of the season and they equalised with the last kick. I have had them watched and they are a decent outfit and it will be hard.
“But we have had a chance to get some new faces in and get some boys back from injury and we are chomping at the bit to get out there and get playing.”
l TEAM NEWS: Marlon Agyakwa and Mitch Gilbey are out, defenders Jack Lampe and Ryan O’Rawe should return. Conor Gough returns to training next week after suffering a serious finger injury last month.
