BASILDON United manager Aaron Bloxham wants Bowers & Pitsea’s FA Vase run to inspire his team when they turn their attentions to the competition and Crawley Green tomorrow.

The Bees were well beaten by Sawbridgeworth Town on Tuesday, losing 5-3 in the Essex Senior League, although they will be favourites against the Spartan South Midlands Premier League side - currently 13th in the league.

“What Bowers did was incredible and I want the boys to see what can be achieved with hard work,” he said. “We were poor in midweek for the first time this season and we need to set higher standards.”

Ayoola Adedoyin (banned), Taylor Sinfield (illness) and Daryl Cooper (hamstring) are out.

Hullbridge Sports, without a midweek game as they look to catch some much-needed rest after a hectic start to the campaign, welcome FC Romania to Lower Road.

Second-placed Sports have played eight more games than Romania, who are 13 points worse off than tomorrow’s hosts at this stage.

Jimmy Cox and Aaron Hunwicks are unavailable.

Southend Manor earned a late draw in the week and will be keen to build on that against visiting Enfield 1893 tomorrow.

Manor sit 7th and have already accrued 14 more points than Enfield.

And manager Stuart Marshall says he has a full squad to choose from.

“We are looking to start another winning run,” he said. “The boys need to play with confidence and trust each other.”
