BOWERS & Pitsea will be looking for their fifth win in succession when they travel to Wroxham in Ryman North tomorrow.

The resurgent Bowers went through November unbeaten.

But boss Rob Small has warned his side to not get complacent ahead of this weekend’s clash against their struggling hosts who are second from bottom in the standings.

“We’ve turned things around which has been great but Wroxham have won two of their last three games so it’s probably not the best time to be playing them,” said Small.

“They’ve got a bit of momentum going so the players cannot afford to be at all complacent if we are to keep this good run going.

“I personally don’t think league tables mean too much at this stage anyway so we can’t read into anything and we can’t afford to get carried away.

“We went seven games without a win in October and during that run I told the players not to get too down.

“But now we’re winning it’s the opposite and I’ll be telling them to keep their feet on the ground because we all know how quickly things can change in football.

“However, we want to keep this run we’re on going for as long as possible and getting some key players back from injury has been massive for us.

“I didn’t want to use that as an excuse during October but we don’t have the biggest of squads so it does make a big difference when we’re without important members of the team.”

But, with them now back available, Bowers are eighth in the table.

Yet Small is only focused on avoiding relegation.

“Getting to 41 points is the first target,” he stressed.
