BASILDON United have been handed an away trip to Heybridge Swifts in the quarter-final draw of the Essex Senior Cup.
Having upset Canvey Island and Great Wakering Rovers in the previous two rounds, Aaron Bloxham may fancy his side’s chances at the Ryman North outfit.
East Thurrock United will host the young guns of Colchester United in the next round, after dispatching Bowers & Pitsea on Tuesday.
And Billericay Town will fancy their chances at home against Tilbury, with the Dockers visiting New Lodge after Craig Edwards’ men saw off Brightlingsea Regent earlier this week.
Essex Senior Cup quarter-final draw: Chelmsford City v Thurrock/Braintree Town, Billericay Town v Tilbury, East Thurrock United v Colchester United, Heybridge Swifts v Basildon United (to be played on or before January 14).
