EAST Thurrock United goalkeeper Lukas Lidakevicius has admitted that the club is looking to go all the way in the FA Trophy.

Rocks take on Braintree Town in the second round of the FA Trophy at the FutureFuel Stadium.

A 4-3 win over National League side Aldershot Town in the first round of the competition secured an Essex derby clash.

Lidakevicius wants to go all the way to Wembley.

The Rocks goalkeeper said: “We are looking to win every game.

“We must look to get to Wembley to fight for a trophy, which would be great for a small club like us.”

Lidakevicius has been a star performer between the sticks since joining John Coventry’s side in the summer.

The 22-year-old enjoyed a spell in his native Lithuania with A-League side FK Zalgiris, during which time he represented his country at U21 level in European Championship qualifiers.

Lidakevicius, who played youth team football at Fulham and Barnsley, returned to England to become East Thurrock’s number one in the summer and the Lithuanian has been a regular for the National League South side.

Coventry’s side suffered a 6-1 defeat to Dartford last weekend.

It was the first time Lidakevicius has conceded more than two goals in a league game this season.

The goalkeeper said the Rocks have to bounce back by coming out on top in the all-Essex cup tie.

“A win is the best way to bounce back,” added Lidakevicius.

“Every team has a bad day at the office.

“We had a really bad game at Dartford and they had a good game.

“It’s a shame that we had a bad day but every team has them so it’s up to us now to bounce back against Braintree.”

Braintree Town are currently 18th in the National League standings.

But Hakan Hayrettin’s side will travel to East Thurrock full of confidence after beating Sutton United on Tuesday night.

If Lidakevicius’ dreams of a Wembley final are to come true, a win is needed.
