l RUNDOWN: Bowers & Pitsea welcome Thurrock rivals Tilbury tonight in the Friday Night Football, with Rob Small’s men bidding to return to the play-off places.
Last Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Aveley saw Bowers drop out of the top five for the first time in 11 matches and they will fancy their chances against a Dockers side struggling for confidence in recent times.
Tilbury have lost their last three - conceding 12 goals in the process - and have won just one of their last 10 league matches to see them drop 10 points off the play-off positions.
Kick-off at the Len Salmon Stadium tonight is at 7:45pm.
l MANAGER’S VIEW: Bowers manager Rob Small said: “Form is temporary and class is permanent. Tilbury are one of the top teams in the division and couple of indifferent results in recent times hasn’t changed that.
“Tonight will be an extremely competitive game between two evenly matched sides.
“That said, if we want to achieve the unthinkable and reach the play-offs, we must win our home games.”
