l RUNDOWN: Billericay Town continue their assault on the play-off positions with a trip to under-performing Kingstonian.

Town were thumping 4-0 winners last weekend, with defender Rob Swaine scoring a remarkable five goals in his last nine outings.

However, Kingstonian’s league position mustn’t deceive Billericay. The K’s won the reverse fixture 2-0, with former Town man Tom Derry running the show that day.

Town discovered on Wednesday that their Ryman League Cup final opponents will be Tonbridge Angels. The final will be held at Carshalton Athletic on Wednesday, April 12. Kick-off 7:45pm.

l MANAGER’S VIEW: Town caretaker boss Glenn Tamplin said: “I have never played against Kingstonian during my involvement at the club but I know they are a good side that is better than their league position suggests. So we will be very wary.

“I am totally confident ahead of this match. We have been working on set pieces and corners and throw-ins. Kresh(nic Krasniqi) and Matt (Johnson) have big throws and we need to use it to our advantage.

“We are playing football. There will be no more of the long ball game and we will be building from the back and going through the midfield.”

l TEAM NEWS: Midfielder Byron Lawrence joins from Leiston, winger Sam Alderson joins on loan from Leyton Orient, Isaac Layne has been released.
