l RUNDOWN: Bowers & Pitsea face a massive game in their bid to secure a top five berth as they travel to Haringey Borough.

It looked as though Bowers were out of the running after last weekend’s goalless draw but results elsewhere saw them climb to sixth in the Ryman North.

Both Bowers and Haringey are tied on 72 points, with defeat likely to rule one out of the running, while even a point may not be enough.

Bowers will fancy their chances against Great Wakering Rovers on Tuesday, but a positive result in north London tomorrow will make all the difference - against a side who are hard to break down at home.

l MANAGER’S VIEW: Bowers boss Rob Small said: “After nearly 10 months of hard work our season could boil down to this one fixture.

“We have been here before many a time and, about this time two years ago, we had a similar moment against the same opponent.

“Of course, we know we are a huge underdog because of how well Haringey do in their home matches.

“But we will do our best to get a result and see where the land lies at 5pm.

“Whatever happens I am proud of my players, we have grown throughout the season and hopefully there is more to come."

l TEAM NEWS: Ben Sartain and Alfie Hilton are injured and will miss out.
