l RUNDOWN: Great Wakering Rovers play their last match in the Ryman North for at least a season tomorrow as they bring to an end a wretched campaign against Bury Town.

Relegated weeks ago, Wakering will be keen to give their home fans something to celebrate ahead of a return to the Essex Senior League.

They have only won twice at home all season, with their last home success way back on September 24 - seven months ago.

Bury have little to play for - and are guaranteed 11th place whatever the result tomorrow.

l MANAGER’S VIEW: Wakering boss Iain O’Connell said: “I can’t wait for the season to end in all honesty. I haven’t been here long but I want to start afresh next year.

“Although we are down the bottom, I can’t fault the players’ endeavour. I want to thank them for that. But the team isn’t good enough.

“We haven’t won at home for a long time. We conceded late on in my first game but it would be nice to finish with the points and the players will show.”

l TEAM NEWS: Defender Charlie Seaden is doubtful.
