l RUNDOWN: Bowers & Pitsea are still in with a chance of securing the most unlikely of play-off places as they gear up for the final day of the season.

Victory against AFC Hornchurch coupled with Norwich United winning at Haringey Borough would mean Bowers finish fifth, and set up a semi-final clash at Maldon & Tiptree.

Manager Rob Small has admitted both occurrences are far from forgone conclusions, with Bowers’ 5-4 defeat at Haringey last Saturday looking as though it will prove costly.

However, a 5-2 win against Great Wakering Rovers in midweek and a thumping four goals for Brad Warner means, following two matches in which they failed to find the target, they have now scored nine times in 180 minutes.

The Urchins know victory tomorrow and a slip up by Thurrock would ensure a home play-off semi-final against the same opponents.

l MANAGER’S VIEW: Bowers boss Rob Small said: “Hornchurch are the biggest club in the division, have the loudest fans in the division, the most experienced manager (Jimmy McFarlane) in the division and the strongest squad in the division and we have to go there and win!

“It’s an unenviable task but we have nothing to lose and everything to gain.

“We will give it our all.”

l TEAM NEWS: Striker Lewis Manor and defender Luke Wilson are ruled out through injury.
