AARON Bloxham has left the manager's post at Basildon United this evening.

The Bees boss departs after just under a 12 months in the post, guiding Basildon to a top 10 finish in the Essex Senior League and good cup runs in the Essex Senior Cup, FA Vase and League Challenge Cup.

But he has decided to leave the club tonight after meeting with chairman Lee Connor.

The former White Ensign manager took to Twitter tonight to reveal the news.

"Had some great games through the year, shame (FA) Vase ended the way it did, but no regrets truly wish @official_bufc every luck going forward.

"A lot of credit must go the players, absolute top guys."

The club will now look to bring in a replacement in the coming weeks ahead of next season.
