NON-LEAGUE teams across south Essex have learned who they will face in the early rounds of the FA Cup, FA Trophy and FA Vase.

The FA Cup journey begins on Saturday, August 5 for Essex Senior League sides in the extra preliminary round.

Southend Manor and Hullbridge Sports have both secured home ties, against Wroxham and Ipswich Wanderers respectively.

Meanwhile, Basildon United and Great Wakering Rovers take on Walsham Le Willows and Newmarket Town, both of Suffolk.

The preliminary round (Saturday, August 19) has seen Bowers & Pitsea and Canvey Island get home draws.

Bowers welcome Haringey Borough, who pipped them to a play-off spot last year, and Canvey host Witham Town.

A Hullbridge win in the earlier round would see a visit to St Margetsbury or Burnham Ramblers, with Southend Manor potentially hosting Stanway Rovers or Gorleston.

Basildon would travel to Great Yarmouth Town or Diss Town, with Great Wakering at home to Ware.

In the FA Trophy, Isthmian North pair Canvey Island and Bowers & Pitsea have learned who they will face in the competition’s preliminary round.

The Gulls, relegated last term, visit Walton Casuals of the Isthmian South on Saturday, October 7.

Bowers have secured a home draw, with league foes Dereham Town set to travel to the Len Salmon Stadium.

Billericay Town will be hopeful of a cup run but face a tricky opener on Saturday, October 28 when the first qualifying round begins.

They welcome Tooting & Mitcham, champions of the Isthmian South last term.

Should Canvey win their first match, they will visit Northwood or Maldon & Tiptree, with Bowers at home against either Egham Town or Shoreham.

In the FA Vase, recently relegated Great Wakering Rovers welcome Essex Senior League fellows Sporting Bengal United in the preliminary round.

Basildon United will host Hertfordshire’s St Margetsbury, who play in the Premier Division of the Spartan South Midlands League, and Southend Manor travel to Barkingside.

Both ties will be played on Saturday, September 9.

Hullbridge Sports enter at the second qualifying round stage, with an away trip to Ilford or Cornard United on the cards.

Should Basildon emerge from their first qualifying round tie they will host Walsham Le Willows.

Great Wakering would face a match at West Essex and Southend Manor would welcome either Haverhill Rovers or Whitton United.

Second qualifying round ties will be on Saturday, September 23.
