HULLBRIDGE Sports boss Rob Hodgson says he is not thinking about a potential FA Cup first qualifying round date with Kidlington, ahead of tonight's replay against St Margaretsbury.
A late goal from Ronnie Pallett ensured a 2-2 draw against the Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division side on Sunday.
And Hodgson is determined to get through tonight’s replay, after what he said was ‘the most physical game I have ever been involved in’.
“I have never played in such a physical and brutal game,” he said. “I took three elbows to the face in the first-half.
“The two penalties were the only shots they had in the second half, but they ruffled our feathers. However, I fancy our chances.
“The journey won’t be great for them but we want to play better in the match.
“I wouldn’t look at them and think we were the underdogs. We want to take the game to them and I don’t mind a battle.
“We would host Kidlington if we got through but I don’t want to think about them. If we get through, we will watch them but I am not thinking about that yet.”
Defender Ollie Quick is out after sustaining an ankle injury on Sunday.
Basildon United begin their Essex Senior Cup campaign at Redbridge tonight.
The Bees were beaten in the FA Cup on Saturday but will want to bounce back in a competition they reached the quarter-finals in last year.
Basildon will be without Charlie Kendall (head injury), although Ben Smith and Jamie Selby-Knight return.
*Billericay Town will host Didcot Town in the FA Cup first qualifying round.
