I AM absolutely delighted to have got through to the first round of the FA Cup, but I am here to break records.

It is a fantastic achievement to have equalled Billericay Town’s record of reaching the first round of the competition in my first full season in my capacity of owner and manager.

But I am not content with equalling that record. I came here to break records and I am looking at making the second round.

We have been drawn to face Leatherhead away in the first round, which I am happy with.

I didn’t want a League club because if we win this, we have a better chance of facing an even bigger club in the next couple of rounds.

I want to play Premier League and Championship clubs, so I’m looking forward to going to Leatherhead and hopefully continuing our FA Cup journey.

We’ve had a difficult run to this stage. Out of the four qualifying rounds, we have been away three times and two of them were against teams in the league above us.

Let’s not forget, Brackley Town are a good side. They knocked out Gillingham last year and they beat Braintree Town, who are top of the league above us, 5-0 in the last round.

So to draw 3-3 against them - with them needing a last minute equaliser to force a replay - and then beat them 2-1 is a great achievement.

I am humbled and privileged to be in the first round and the crowd was huge (1,464).

It was the second biggest of all the replay ties and the support is amazing.

We will now look ahead to Saturday, when we play Enfield Town.

I won’t be at the game because my wife recently had a double miscarriage, so I am taking her away for a week. But I am leaving the side in the capable hands of Harry Wheeler and Danny Hazle.
