CONCORD Rangers came from behind to record a first league win since August against 10-man Chippenham Town.

Despite trailing twice, a brace from Lewis Knight plus goals from Ben Greenhalgh and Amos Nasha handed the Beach Boys the points.

And Chippenham forced the first real chance of the afternoon.

Knight missed his defensive header and former Newport County man Andy Sandell fired across goal, with only a full-stretch save from Louis Wells keeping is goalless.

The referee waved away Greenhalgh’s claims for a penalty before Town struck.

A free-kick was fizzed into the home penalty area and, following a failed clearance, James Morton stroked into the far corner from five yards.

A speculative Steve Cawley shot went wide but a persistent Concord were to equalise.

A Greenhalgh free-kick was picked up by Knight and the defender’s header looped over Jared Thompson and into the goal.

But a header up the other end was to quickly restore Chippenham’s advantage. A whipped corner was powered home from close range by Will Richards.

After the interval, excellent work from Greenhalgh ended in a drive that was tipped away by Thompson before the winger did find his range.

Picking up the ball 20 yards from goal, the winger slammed a strike into the far corner.

And the game was turned on its head shortly afterwards. A red card for Chippenham’s Dean Evans was followed by the goal – Knight again flicking into the corner.

Amos Nasha hit both posts as the pressure grew, with Knight the width of the upright away from making it a hat-trick.

Before a goalkeeping rick did see the advantage extended - Nasha striking over the stopper to complete an excellent afternoon.
