THE PREVIEW: Concord Rangers have their eyes set on extending their unbeaten league run to 14 matches when they make the trip to Bath City.

The Beach Boys were left frustrated last weekend on their travels when Truro City postponed their game with Adam Flanagan’s men already in the south west.

They will hope to avoid a similar story at Bath, who have one eye on a possible play-off place come the end of the season.

THE INSIGHT: “Bath have always been a strong team and under new manager Jerry Gill I am sure they will be as difficult as always,” said Flanagan. “Jerry has started to shape the team on his image, with some of the established players under the previous manager departing and players arriving that match his philosophy.

“In my playing days I found Bath a difficult place to go, with the vocal support they get at home, so we will prepare ourselves for a tough encounter.

“It was disappointing our game against Truro was called off so late last week. We hadn’t encountered any rain on our journey to that point, but the weather report showed rain all day in the Truro area and a couple of the players were making long weekends of the fixture and had said the rain was non-stop. But these things happen and I am sure that Truro have been on the same end of similar decisions and wouldn’t wish it on any team.”

THE TEAM NEWS: Recent signing Andy Freeman is available for selection. Lewis Taaffe misses out with a fracture to his foot.
