For me, the game I will not forget is the FA Trophy semi-final between Stevenage and Grays Athletic in 2007.

We had won the first leg 1-0 at their place but we didn’t actually find out that the final would be at the new Wembley Stadium until after that match.

The FA didn’t know if the stadium was going to be ready. They had played an under-21 international there but the FA Trophy final turned out to be the first competitive game there.

So we were really pumped heading into the second leg and we were all determined to get to the final.

We were in a great place ahead of the second leg at our place and we had a massive chance to beat them, but we were 1-0 down at full time and the game went to extra-time.

One of the reasons I remember this game so clearly is because of how well I played. We ended up progressing 3-1 on aggregate, after extra-time, but I was like a man possessed.

They threw the kitchen sink at us and I must have made about eight or nine saves and to get through was a massive moment.

We were quite near the top of the Conference and they were near the bottom so we were expected to win and maybe we were a bit complacent ahead of the second game.

But I was determined to get to 90 minutes and still be in it and we fancied ourselves in extra-time as we were very fit. After that, there was only one team going to win.

The final against Kidderminster saw around 55,000 supporters at Wembley, which I can’t see getting beaten for a non-league final.

We won the game 3-2 and that was a great feeling.

In terms of playing for Billericay I would say beating Havant & Waterlooville 3-1 - also in the FA Trophy - was a big moment.

They were top of the division above at the time, which is where we want to be next season.

I made some good saves and we won it against the odds. We had to dig in and we did the business.
