CONCORD Rangers manager Sammy Moore believes his team are capable of playing much better despite beating Dartford 2-0 to sit joint top of the National League South.

The Beach Boys beat former manager Adam Flanagan’s side at the Aspect Arena to maintain their unbeaten start.

Alex Wall and D’Sean Theobalds got the goals for Concord.

And Moore, while pleased with the points, said Concord were reduced to adopting Dartford’s tactics at times.

“In the first half we wanted to catch them cold and we did that,” he said. “We didn’t play as much as we can do and we got caught up in their game.

"We were trying to go long and go from back to front quickly and we aren’t as good as they are at that. I have put together a good group of footballers but their togetherness and desire to win got us through. We can play much better.

“The substitutes came on and made a difference as well. Fresh legs made the difference at the right times and the back four dealt with so many long balls and we stood up to that.

“It’s a great start for us.”
